Season with the salt pepper cumin chili powder paprika and cayenne. Now bring milk and margarine to a boil until they form a thick mixture.

How to make chili cheese fries. Continue stirring and add the cornstarch water combination into the milk margarine mixture. Meanwhile heat chili in a small saucepan over medium low heat stirring occasionally. Stir and cook until deep brown in color 10 15 minutes.

Broil the baking sheet until the cheese is just melted but not browned. Keep simmering until the cheese melts and settles in nicely. Add the beef and stir to break up.
Mix cornstarch and water in a cup and once they settle in place the cup aside. Spread frozen fries in an even layer on a cookie sheet. Bake at 420 degrees for 18 20 minutes being sure to stir fries halfway through baking this helps them crisp up.
We thought the whole cheese sauce part was a bit uncalled for so we just made the fries as directed heated up the chili and poured that over the fries. Pile the french fries onto the center of the baking sheet and top them with the remaining shredded cheddar.
